I have a dream of launching "Lauren" on the OWN Network. In 2004, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, but I showed hundreds of friends and family that I would not let it stand in the way of my dreams. For a year and a half, I helped people from the poor and modest enclaves of Cleveland, Ohio tell their stories about how finding faith changed their lives. I have traveled the country helping a foundation fighting breast cancer tell the stories of cancer survivors. I helped my father tell public radio what it was like for him to go from respected community citizen to convicted felon, and that I still loved him. All this has refined my compassion and ability to help others tell their stories. Give me a microphone, an audience ands guest and it happens - a compelling conversation no matter their background. People open up to me. They confide in me. They tell me their stories. I'm Lauren Johnson. I'm 30 years old, and my dream is to be a talk show host.
